These molded birchwood chairs were designed by Axel Larsson (1898–1975) starting in the late 1940s as part of his public and institutional seating program—developed for hotels, auditoriums, and offices in postwar Sweden. A single shell sculpted seat in birch ply is connected by exposed bolts to a solid birch base with stretcher support between legs. Stackable. Produced by Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Sweden.
