1940S JINDŘICH HALABALA
Model H-151 bentwood armchairs, gold velvet
Model H-151 bentwood armchairs, gold velvet
A perfect example of Czech functionalism in chair design with a bit of Art Deco modernism. Jindřich Halabala designed the H-151 in the 1930s - though it was a popular chair with production continuing through the 1950s. Classic sweeping bentwood arms connect comfortable upright seating with restrained elegance in the angled legs. Recently updated in a yellow patterned velvet. Czech.
