solid oakwood & cognac leather side chairs
solid oakwood & cognac leather side chairs
This pair (sold separately) fit surely in the early Scandinavian modernist vernacular with a number of designers creating similar pieces including Kaare Klint (earliest design from 1928), Fritz Hansen, Jacob Kjær and others. The 1940s example has a simple square structure in solid oakwood with a nicely flared back. Both retain their original cognac leather with much patine due to age/use - and fitted with original brass tacks. Master Danish cabinetmaker.
Sold separately.
