oakwood 44" sideboard w/burl wood decor
oakwood 44" sideboard w/burl wood decor
This beautiful small sideboard/credenza was produced in the late 1940s in Denmark during the period before the modernist mass production era that became the golden age of Scandinavian design. Likely created by a Danish master craftsman in a small regional workshop and aligns most closely with Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild exhibitors of the period. Primary oakwood case with curved drawer fronts and a slightly bowed central section. A pair of drawers on both ends with a pair of doors opening to a central cabinet - all with large turned wooden or brass pulls. Doors use a a burl elmwood veneer - an exceptional piece of history.
