1940S AXEL LARSSON
"1000 Series" flame birch desk, Bodofors
"1000 Series" flame birch desk, Bodofors
A beautiful and rare 1940s desk design by Axel Larsson (1898-1975). Constructed in a bright flame birchwood veneer that makes the desk sparkle. The primary side has two narrow top drawers, a right-side vertical cabinet with two selves and at left are four wood pull-out trays. Its most interesting feature is that the desk is meant to face outward in a room with the facing side displaying the full beauty of the curved side with an open shelf. Two additional storage cabinets and an inset base. Model 1000 for Bodafors. Sweden, 1940s.
