Born in Deauville, France, Michel Dufet (1888-1985) initially studied painting and sculpture before transitioning into furniture design and architecture. He became a sought after Art Deco designer. This set of dining chairs was exhibited at the Salon D'Automne, Paris in 1931. Constructed in a beautiful bur ashwood with a round-disc back with newer Logan leatherette seating. France, 1930s.
