furniture making by pioneering bentwood technology, which involved steaming and bending beechwood to create elegant, lightweight, and durable furniture. This pair of Model B246 armchairs was produced in the 1930s at their extensive Czech factory in Bystritz am Hostein which was then run as Thonet-Mundus. Classic bentwood framing with horizontal and vertical elements to the back design.
