Wonderful Art Deco geometry to this late 1930s pillar table from the Swedish Grace design period. Round tabletop with an elaborate radial starburst marquetry pattern, in contrasting light and dark woods : birch, walnut, and mahogany. Outer trim veneered in the shimmering texture of Nordic curly birch - which is repeated in the central pillar and out edge of the base. Four curved feet. A bright and unexpected design.
