Otto Schulz (1882-1970) who was born in Germany and trained as an architect before traveling to Sweden where became famous for his influential design studio "Boet" in Göteborg Sweden. His designs were unusual and slightly baroque - with subtle ornamentation and a luxurious but disciplined aesthetic. This pair of armchairs have tightly fitted cognac leather overall with deep seat and flared back. Newer down cushion in brown velvet with cording. And of course - includes his classic nail-head ornamentation he termed "bo-point". Sweden, 1930s.
