Born in Deauville, France, Michel Dufet (1888-1985) initially studied painting and sculpture before transitioning into furniture design and architecture. He became a sought after Art Deco designer. This 1930s beautifully designed lady's dressing table or toelette is constructed using contrasting burr (root) woods to create a bright visual. Three locked drawers at top with a pair of three curved drawers cascading to the floor. Classic central pop-up mirror and an unusual chromed metal foot design. Produced in France 1930s.
