Created during the period of rationalist design active in the 1920s and 1930s with technical experimentation and aesthetic modernism.  This armchair from Italy uses two pieces of nickel-plated tubular metal that is formed to construct two sides of the frame.  Original blue skai upholstery to the seat and back with contrasting white piping.  Italy, 1930s.  Two available, sold separately.
