pair figural burl walnut Art Deco armchairs
pair figural burl walnut Art Deco armchairs
An exceptional pair of lounge chairs from the 1920s to 1930s with a continuous, flowing arm-to-leg structure that is a hallmark of Art Deco and early modernist bentwood designs. Frames veneered in a highly figured walnut grain with a rich amber-brown coloration. Recently updated in a period sympathetic upholstery in diamond-patterned red and salmon woven fabric. The refined nature and quality of the design point to a Viennese Secessionist lineage. Just gorgeous.
Sold as a pair.
