Czechoslovakia was one of Europe’s leaders in modernist design in the interwar years particular elevating bentwood traditions started by Thonet. This pair of exceptional lounge chairs is a blend of machine-age functionalism and organic curves, typical of Czechoslovak modern furniture of the late 1920s–30s. olid beechwood frames have a distinct Art Deco design reference with a slatted back that includes a functionalist metal adjustment feature.
