modernist "Bengt" chair for Nordiska Kompaniet
Nils Öfverman (1888-1957) was a core in-house architect for Sweden’s most influential furniture workshop (Nordiska Kompaniet) during the 1910s–30s, working alongside Axel Einar Hjorth and Carl Bergsten. This pair of "Bengt" chairs were designed in the 1920s to be simplified, modernized “everyday classics” - elegant yet affordable. Solid birchwood framing and a ladder back using exotic wood. Classic orange upholstery. Sold individually, pair available.
