pair tubular steel cantilever armchairs, Denmark
pair tubular steel cantilever armchairs, Denmark
Knud Friis (1926–2010) and Elmar Moltke Nielsen (1924–1997) were primarily architects, not conventional furniture designers. They founded Friis & Moltke in Aarhus in 1954 and became important figures in Danish "mild brutalist" architecture. This pair of armchairs are constructed using a continuous tubular frame in red oxblood supporting via suspension upholstered seating. Priced as is - in need of new upholstery (we can help). Sold as a pair.
