1933 DESIGN KAARE KLINT
ashwood & black leather safari chair
ashwood & black leather safari chair
Professor Kaare Klint (1888-1954) designed this chair in 1933 to be portable and disassembled, much like the English Officer's chair from which it takes clues. Simple ashwood frame is doweled and supported with leather straps. Natural canvas seat sling and seat back with a loose cushion on top. Iconic. Produced by by Rud. Rasmussen cabinetmakers in Denmark. Still in production today - this example of mid-to-late 20thc manufacture. Sold individually, pair available.
