pair of light cognac leather "Moustache" club chairs
pair of light cognac leather "Moustache" club chairs
Originally known as the fauteuil confortable ("comfortable chair"), the classic French Club Chair was designed for long evenings in cafés, hôtels particuliers, and gentlemen's clubs, where deep seats, generous rolled arms, and supple leather invited hours of conversation. The "Moustache" model is one of the most recognizable forma and began in the 1920s with a beautiful sculptural Art Deco silhouette. This example is light cognac leather with camel velvet seat cushion (later). Sold as a pair.
