orange plastic Model B1171 dining chair, Germany
orange plastic Model B1171 dining chair, Germany
One of the earliest and most important examples of one-piece molded furniture design. Designed by German architect Helmut Bätzner in 1964, the BA 1171 transformed fiberglass-reinforced polyester into a sculptural, stackable chair that helped define the Space Age aesthetic and paved the way for generations of molded seating designs. This set of stackable eight chairs in orange. Produced by Bofinger, Germany.
