A very handsome and rare constructivist Dutch armchair from the early 1930s in solid oakwood. You can practically visualize this in a narrow townhouse along the Prinsengratch in Amsterdam. Square framing to the arms, seat and back are beautifully balanced and enhanced by the vertical dowels connecting the arm to low bottom stretcher. Recently upholstered in a JAB cotton linen fabric.
