1950S MIROSLAV NAVRÁTIL
dark-stained oakwood armchair, linen straps
dark-stained oakwood armchair, linen straps
Miroslav Navrátil (1913-1999) is regarded as one of the fathers of modern Czech furniture design. This armchair is constructed using stained solid oak, with sharply angled front and back legs that create a striking, architectural profile. Original linen strapping and a lovely newly added forest green cushion keep this grounded in an otherwise modernist frame. Attributed to Miroslav Navrátil, Czech. Probably UP Závody Brno.
Sold individually, pair available.
