The husband and wife team of Afra & Tobia Scarpa were muti-talented architects and furniture/industrial designers. Their significant contribution to the Italian modernism starting in the 1960s produced celebrated pieces for many of the leading mid-century design firms - and earning a coveted Compasso d'Oro award in 1970.
