"sitting bear" sung glazed stoneware, RC
Painter, illustrator, ceramic sculptor and Royal Academy graduate, Knud Kyhn (1880-1969) played a leading role in the design/development of ceramic stoneware pieces for Royal Copenhagen starting in the early 1900s. His "Sung" glaze became the basis for a wide range of exceptional figurines. This upright "sitting bear" is #21675 and produced per RC stamp in 1959 - though designed much earlier. Denmark.
