Popularized in the 18th century after the Swedish court frequented their Royal Kungsör Manor for hunting. Trade groups became a common feature of the market town with master carpenters and furniture makers supporting the royal court. This table is marked underneath and crafted by Jacob Sjölin who was a master in Köping and Kungsör from 1767-1785. A gorgeous 32" burr alderwood top is supported by solid beechwood trip-pod base. An amazing piece of Swedish history.
