Multiple layers of paint on these hand-carved relief faces in the Viking tradition from the early to-mid 19th century or earlier. Created as an architectural element with beards, bushy eyebrows and Viking inspired helmets - all with a bit of humor. Red, brown, orange and other colors visible on each mask as a relief on a flat shield. Later mounted to an iron stand. Priced per piece. Many chips and overpainting.
