extendable model RH-302 leather sofa for De Sede, Swiss
Robert Haussmann (born 1931, Zurich) is a Swiss architect, designer, and theorist known for blending modernist principles with classical references and playful irony. Along with his wife Trix designed a number of highly collected pieces produced by De Sede. This Model 302, designed in 1972, has a geometric design with paired seating and a gorgeous brown aniline leather overall. Comfortable brutalist. This particular sofa was modified to allow each of the two seats to independently slide out from the base, transforming the sofa into a chaise-like lounging position. Swiss, 1970s.
