72" bench version of Model 611 suite, Bernini

Multi-talented Italian architect Silvio Coppola (1920-1985) produced furniture designs for many of the leading Italian mid-century firms. His Palme d'Or, however, was for his creative advertising campaigns. One of his most iconic furniture works is the 1964 dining suite for Bernini, notable for its clean lines and exposed joinery. This rare bench version is in solid walnut with classic side A-frames supporting a narrow rectilinear and polished top. Gorgeous. Produced by Bernini S.p.A. in Ceriano Laghetto, Italy.
