A striking mid-century coffee table by relatively unknown Italian designer Romolo Verzolini with a top entirely sheathed in quartered and embossed copper with great patina - and featuring stylized figural and animal motifs reminiscent of Etruscan narrative scenes. Great contrasting fluted wood base. Signed on top, marked "Made in Italy" on underside.
