This exceptional piece is a bit of a departure from Pier Luigi Colli's (1895-1968) usual application of scrolled and scalloped metal to furniture and mirrors produced in his Turin Italy factory. An open architecture with a calming perused oakwood book shelf with drop-down secretary at the top. Subtle carved leaf decor to the door. The top shelf on the left side opens up to display a hidden compartment. Beautifully designed simplicity to the plinth base. Turin, 1950s.
