Carlo de Carli (1910-1999) was a highly gifted and prolific modernist architect, designer and well respected educator (Politecnico di Milan). He worked under Gio Ponti in the late 1930s before starting his own studio - creating pieces for the most important and innovative Italian design companies. This center or dining table has an elegant form in a rich rosewood. 51.4" circular top with a wide side trim. The tulip base has a hexagon shape that is corseted at the center. Just gorgeous. Italy, 1950s.
