1940s Gianni Albertini cherrywood buffet or sideboard
This item is available by inquiry only
Relatively unknown Italian designer Gianni Albertini (1902-1978) created sensual pieces often with a flair for the dramatic. This sideboard from the 1940s has a solid cherrywood case supporting a pair of side cabinets and six central drawers. The entire face is hand carved cherry in vertical textured lines within a beveled frame. Large circular side cabinet drawer pulls are recessed within a round disk - matching the button pulls for the drawers. A carved wave-form trim to the top is mimicked below the case for visual symmetry. Italy, 1940s. Piece will be refinished upon arrival to Hudson.
