A bit outside of our normal finds - but something wonderfully inspired about the detail on this console or desk from the early 1900s in the rococo style. A rectangular parquetry top has wonderful patina, beveled edges and recessed sides with hand-carved acanthus leaf decor on all sides. A pair of openwork gable leg supports in a styled scroll/lyre carved wood design that includes floral and thespian detail. Two front drawers with original brass pulls. Probably Dutch or Belgian.
