Multi-talented Italian architect Silvio Coppola (1920-1985) produced furniture designs for many of the leading Italian mid-century firms. His Palma d'Oro however - was for his advertising campaign. This set of dining chairs has exaggerated corseted legs that appear slightly brutalist in solid beechwood. An overstuffed sectioned leather seat is has a singular leather button in the center. Nicely curved seat back for added comfort. Model design 620 and produced starting in 1964 by Bernini, Italy.
