Before IKEA became the global behemoth it is today - the mid-century company only had stores in Sweden. By the mid 1960s - with a planned expansion to other European countries - they hired a group of young designers to create cool modernist pieces. Per-Olof Scotte created his famous Premiär 69 chair in saddle leather over a beautifully sculpted solid oak frame. Designed 1967 for Möbel Ikea, Sweden. Seat height 15.8"
