Pair 1964 Afra & Tobia Scarpa red leather 917 armchairs

Italian husband & wife team who met while architect students at Università Iuav di Venezia went on to design an eclectic range of architecture, furniture, household items, lighting and others..... thru their own design studio and in an collaboration with many of the leading Italian mid-century firms.  This pair of red leather armchairs are Model 917 and produced by the Italian powerhouse Cassina stating in 1964.  Solid walnut frames.  Italy.
