The brutalist period took on a more lush visual in South America where concrete buildings with organic materials worked seamlessly with surrounding tropical vegetation. This pair of Brazilian lounge chairs from the late 1960 to early 1970s has generous proportions and a wide-plank hardwood frame with large visible tenon joints to the base and back. Shaped and angled legs and seat back allow these to be viewed equally well from all sides. Loose seat cushions in a pattered cream fabric. Sold as a pair.
