A functional experiment designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) in 1933/34 that he named the "Hallway" chair and original produced by Finmar. It has a solid birchwood square-form frame with beautiful joinery at the arms. His classic bent birch plywood forms the seat flared at top and bottom. Produced by Artek late 20th century as model 403.
