Tuscan-born architect and urban planner, Giovanni Michelucci (1891-1990) whose sensitivity to Italy's social issues guided much of his work and principles.  He live a long life and created "Fondazione Giovanni Michelucci" to continue his good work.  This pair of chairs in walnut have simple faceted backs and four cross bars supporting the seat that connect to each leg with visible joinery.  Produced in 1974 for Fantacci in Italy.  Sold individually, pair available.
