A true French craftsman, Pierre Chapo (1927-1987), started his iconic furniture business in Gordes, near Avignon in Provence in 1967. The S32 sofa comes out of that early design period in a solid elmwood frame with his famous mathematical "golden ratio 48x72" joint visible on all sides. A beautiful light cognac leather used for six loose cushions and two side cushions. Horizontal elm supports to the back and leather straps holding the sides. France 1960/70s.
