1960S HANS J. WEGNER
GE 671 flag halyard lounge chair, Getama
GE 671 flag halyard lounge chair, Getama
There is no Hans J. Wegner design that I covet more than anything he does using flag halyard (woven rope that is strung to support framing). The GE671 model was designed in 1967 using laminated and bent oakwood to create an open-form lounge chair. Nine circular openings to the back are used to string corded rope to a lower seat wood support. Beautiful bright blue loose cushions are supported by linen strapping underneath. Marked and manufactured by Getama, Gedsted. Late 1960s.
