tripod tall wood & hemp stool, France
tripod tall wood & hemp stool, France
The prolific French-Swiss husband and wife team of Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet rejected the exotic of the Art Deco movement and centered their organic design studio in Côte d'Azur, France in the late 1920s often using natural rustic materials incorporated into more soulful furniture pieces. This tri-pod stool has a flat wood base, low T-form stretcher and thick woven abaca (hemp rope) for the square seat. France, 1950s.
